Philip, hevy, fretting and philip

canon eos 40d, tokina 12-24mm lens, on camera flash

ive had no internet access for nearly a week.
i have had to come to a relatives house in order to go online and update this blog, check emails and do onliney stuff. i honestly dont think i could live without the internet.

right, down to business.
the photos that i took at hevy fest are up here ( theres hardly any up at the moment but more will be up later this week ) http://www.sabotagemag.com/2010/08/hevy-2010-photo-special/

i think we almost definitely have a house to live in next year in london and im doing both my driving test and touring europe with my band in the next few weeks.

other than preparing / fretting about that i have been listening to a band called 'the plot to blow up the eiffel tower', and reading the first book in the 'his dark materials' trilogy by philip pullman. its exciting to say the least.
the photo above is of a different philip in my new garden with the sunset all nice and lovely behind him.

this has been such a jumbly post and im sorry, but theyre going to keep getting jumblier and jumblier.

Moving 2

** HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIM **

so mum and jp found a house they liked
( read this earlier post for backstory
and me joe helped them move all the stuff in today, well most of the stuff anyway.
i am currently still at grandmas but this will change shortly ( once the internet gets sorted for mr new house )
it is a nice house, it's smaller than the last one, but a cute kind of small.
i wont be living there for much longer as i'll be in london from september onwards, so im really not overly fussed.
mum and jp and charlie seem to like it though, and that's what's important.

the photo is of joe track-standing no handed on his bike in my room-to-be, we basically did this all day and ate french cheesy crisps.

Hevy fest 2010

canon eos 40d, tokina 12-24mm lens, steady hand

another week of zero posts, i know.
however if you talk to me in person somewhat often then you might know that i have been at this years 'hevy fest' in kent.
it was absolutely draining as not only did i have to lug all my equipment around with me for 36 hours for fear of stealers, i had to compete against nearly 25 other photographers in the pit whilst photographing each band.
it wasnt easy but i think i did OK.
i was assigned to take photographs there for this online magazine http://www.sabotagemag.com/
a bunch of my photos from the festival and some other contributors reviews and band interviews will be up on there very soon, so keep em peeledz.

instead of camping on the last night, i went back to mollys new flat in london but had a hard time getting there.
my journey included 3 different buses, £1.90 left on my oyster card and some time spent in peckham at half one in the morning.

Going to london for thoms birthday / hanging out with we just are

canon eos 40d, tokina 12-24mm lens

this saturday me and philip went to london to do two things
1. attend our friend thom's 21st birthday party (happy birthday)
2. visit a very good friend of mine called jenny, who runs the blog 'We just are'.
we managed to accomplish both of these things quite merrily.
over all it was an awesome weekend, minus fathoming the calm vampire that is the london public transport system, on top of the seemingly endless hours spent on trains.

the photo above depicts jenny waiting for the tube at bank to stop.
